Many love the extensive menu, which offers something for everyone, from hearty mains like the lamb burger to lighter options such as lovely homemade coleslaw. The drink selection, renowned for quality beers and wines, delights many patrons. Families and dog owners appreciate the pet-friendly policy and the lovely enclosed garden, enhancing the overall experience.
Additionally, the consistent positive reviews highlight the scenic views available from the pub, complemented by a cozy log fire that creates a perfect setting for intimate gatherings or special occasions.
Some diners express a desire for additional condiment options, particularly gravy for certain dishes like the lamb. While the food generally receives high marks, a few guests comment on occasional lumpy mash with their meals, indicating room for improvement in certain preparations.
During peak times, especially on busy weekends, long waits can sometimes occur. Fortunately, advance reservations help mitigate this issue, but it's worth noting that the pub's popularity can lead to full capacity on nights like Saturday at 9 PM.
Occasional noise from the bar area can distract some visitors seeking a quieter experience. However, the lively atmosphere appeals to many who enjoy the camaraderie that comes with a bustling pub environment.
A lovely little country pub in the middle of a little village with a little park for the little ones to play a nice environment and a welcoming environment we had rang in advance to book and inform them about my dietary requirements and they had said of course and went the extra mile to meet those requirements and had also put me in a nice quiet calm corner to help with my anxiety the staff were lovely and always checking whether we needed anything else the food was absolutely on point not to mention that there is a lovely scenic view music is not loud its just right dessert was eye-catching and tasted as great as it looked. This pub is a little gem only a 14 minute drive away from oswestry town the car park is nice and easy just suitable for the pub size we met the owner who was very kind and we had a lovely conversation I would 100% recommend this to anyone near or travelling to oswestry we will 100% be back 😁!.
What a lovely experience. The manager was so friendly and attentive. She seems to love her job and care about the customer. I had the lamb burger which was tender and delicious, the coleslaw was also clearly homemade and really tasty. My husband had the rack of lamb which he says is some of the best lamb he has eaten. Only small little bit of feedback would be some gravy with the lamb would help and the mash was very lumpy. All in all an excellent experience and they treated out little dog like a princess. Would definitely come back.

The moment you walk in through the door, you immediately feel part of the family. The menu is so varied and extensive, reasonably priced and interesting. We have been here several times now and every time, the food has been so tasty and the portions are surprisingly generous. The service is impeccable, even at busy times or if things aren’t quite going to plan in whatever way. Nia is an absolute gem and her genuine friendliness is second to none. The Wynnstay Inn feels like a true ‘hub’ of a wider community, bringing together so many different people from all walks of life. Within the melee of locals, newbies and quirky dogs, it’s impossible not to strike up a conversation leaving one reassured that humanity and kindness are still very much alive, along with the appreciation of honest good food and a drink or two.
So it's Sunday and we turned up at the Wynnstay expecting to get a table, how wrong were we, it's so popular that they were fully booked up. However they kindly offered us a table in the bar, happy days! Their Sunday lunch was great, as we're the staff. Such a lovely friendly place. Thanks once again, Ian & Debbie
Excellent food and a lovely place to stay. Both the staff and the local community are very friendly. Big carpark in the centre of the village
We arrived without booking but were able to get a table straight away, being advised there may be a 30 minute wait for food, which was fine for us. The staff were friendly and very attentive given that they had a coach party in the bar celebrating an 18th birthday. Food was excellent and worth the short wait. It was a nice gesture to offer each of us a free shot at the end of our meal - baby Guinness went down a treat! Would definitely recommend this lovely place 💯
What a beautiful little pub, our food was absolutely beautiful! They have a lovely play area for children where our children played for the whole time we were there. The service we received was top tier, our youngest son is autistic and they did everything possible to make sure he had everything he needed! We will definitely be returning! Food was 10/10! Diolch o Galon ❤️
